Job Title: SHE Manager


Location: Nigeria

Position Summary

As part of the Supply chain effort to improve SHE implementation and awareness at Physical Logistics, the SHE Manager role is carved out to give a very strong independent focus to Safety, Health and Environmental issues, maintain and improve the SHE standard at the workplace.

A day in the life of the SHE Manager:


Drive safety culture by ensuring strict compliance to SHE rules and regulations by all personnel and 3rd party visiting the site to maintain an accident-free operation.

Ensure that the Occupational Health & Safety management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the ISO 45001:2018 Standard.

Monitor waste segregation and maintain the record of Zero waste to Landfill.

Ensure all incidents on site are investigated and action plans taken to prevent recurrence.

Identify appropriate SHE trainings, draw up training plan and ensure all trainings are completed.

Ensure that reports on the performance of the Occupational, Health & Safety management system are presented to top management for review and used as a basis for improvement of the OH&S management system.

Ensure that an environmental management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 International Standard.

Conducts Hazard identification, determine risks and ensure controls with the support of management to prevent work related accident and/or lost time.

Define SHE objectives and targets, communicate and ensure implementation.

Draw up a schedule for Behavioural feedback sessions (BFS) and coordinate its implementation.

What Will Make You Successful?


B.Sc. / HND in a relevant field.

6-7 years experience in a SHE role.

Advanced knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment and Quality: principles, regulations and Best practices.

Coaching, Influencing and People Management skills.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of the Manufacturing Manager – Pressing & Wrapping:


Drive Manufacturing Excellence implementing NCE (Foundations and Advanced Practices) to achieve the objectives of the One T&P Roadmap for factories.

Ensure that the Health & Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment are constantly part of the manufacturing objectives. Embed Environmental Sustainability in the area of responsibility.

Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality (compliance), on time, and meeting consumer expectations (strive towards Manufacturing Excellence).

Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines (SDCA) to ensure sustainable results and drive continuous improvement (PDCA) to deliver breakthrough results.

Ensure the timely launch of new or renovated products to the Markets as per agreement with the business.

Ensure development of department team and staff (incl. temporary people) – through engaging and empowering people, performance management, career development, succession planning and coaching.

Deputize for Production Manager when he is not available.

What Will Make You Successful?


B.Sc. or HND in Food Science/ Technology, Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering and other related discipline.

Demonstrated Leadership skills to lead effectively a group of people.

Experience in Technical environments and or manufacturing supporting functions.

Successful in leading change (NCE Implementation).

Exposure to the implementation of continuous improvement techniques.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst


Location: Nigeria

Position Summary


We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst who will be the guardian of consumer delight in terms of delivering product with key sensory drivers, minimizing consumer complaints and promoting competitive advantage through competitor bench marking and profiling during product innovation /renovation so as to drive Nestlé Continuous Excellence in the pursuit of zero defect as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference.

A day in the life of the Quality Assurance Analyst:


People and know-how: Promote quality awareness within the laboratory and across the company. Contribute to competence development of quality professionals across the organization. Develops and maintains competences of sensory panel in sensory evaluation.

Sensory: Sets up, manages, enforces and maintains Sensory panel ability to accept quality raw material for production, monitor HALB sensory attributes and daily release of FERT with key consumer attributes for sales and also support product innovation and renovation.

Quality mastership:  Supports the Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect, including root cause analysis after incidents (or near misses) and DMAIC. Supports activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System requirements. Deliver training for their specific areas of expertise.

Quality auditing and verification: Manage the internal and external retail auditing programme, assessing the performance of the quality system, reporting its effectiveness to the management, and proposing actions for improvement.

Data Management: Utilizes SAP Excel, and Power BI tools to analyze and report Quality Data.

Ensures Leadership Development Principles: Utilize Coaching skills in engaging with the shopfloor and leading teams for problem solving. Also participate and engage in operational reviews.

What Will Make You Successful?


Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent preferably in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Food Science.

2 – 3 years experience in Quality Assurance/Control.

Operational Experience:


Demonstrates good understanding of Good Laboratory Practice and Safety

Demonstrated capability to lead a group – Sensory Panelist

SAP Competency for Quality Management

Problem solving using GSTD and DMAIC

Business Experience


Understanding of the Product category

Engaging with Consumer Services with respect to complaint Management.
